Work Day is coming!
What is Abbey Work Day? The annual day when over 400 members of the community that supports Clear Creek Abbey descend onto the property to help the monks with the upkeep of their farm, property and shops.
Why are you needed? With the rigors of contemplative life the monks are not able to complete many tasks needed to maintain the property. The community builds fences, burns brush, plants trees, and fixes roads; among other projects.
How do I help?
1. Register. Sign up for the work day by registering on our website at www.abbeyworkday.com. Give us your name and email if we do not already have it. You may reply to to this email with your RSVP, but please register on the website as well. Include your skills and any specialized materials you have.
2. Become a Work Guide. Why? You can become part of the leadership that makes Work Day function. You will become an integral part of making our abbey last 1000 years. EMAIL HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A WORK GUIDE.
3. Spread the word! Forward this email to all your friends, coworkers, parishes, knights councils, etc. Help us advertise Work Day.
