FATHER KASTL on the religious life and parishioner Angela Kmetz's step into it...Some people say that vocations to the religious life are a thing of the past. This couldn't be further from the truth… it all depends on where you look! On August 6th a small group of Tulsans accompanied St. Mary Parishioner Angela Kmetz to St. Gregory’s Abbey to pray and eat breakfast with the religious community Angela is preparing to enter. Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara. This young and vibrant community was founded in 1988 in Argentina with the mission to bring the Gospel into all cultures. They now numbers some 900 zealous young woman rooted in the heart of Jesus Christ. All one has to do is spend a short time with this community to realize God is indeed calling young women to embrace consecrated life as a sure sign of His loving presence in our world. Our prayers are with Angela and her family during this time of transition.
