My dear parishioners,
The week end of Oct. 3 & 4th, and the many weeks leading up to it, were not the Feast of Pentecost and the days surrounding it. However, anyone who was here at St. Mary's knows that the Spirit was truly at work! In all my years as a priest, I have never experienced such imagination, organization and dedicated enthusiasm so evidently at work. There is an old phrase which says it all about the event Saturday evening and picnic on Sunday:
"A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL"
A special word of thank to to Fr. Kastl, our own "energizer bunny", to the chair couples of the dinner/auction: Jennifer and Steve Allen, Sallie and Harry Lowery and the chair couple of the picnic festivites: Liz and Brian Inbody. Thank you also to the many of you who worked in various capacities to make it all happend. I certainly include in this group the various members of the parish staff who worked so closely with the various committee persons.
The other extremely important group of people who made it all happen were all of you support the efforts and participated in the events. Unless this is an "outdated" expression ...like I am told many of mine are..allow me to say very simply.........It was Awesome!
