A new parishioner shared this poem with Father Jack, and we decided to share it with you. This weekend is commitment Sunday where you will turn in your Stewardship Revewal cards with the ways you feel God has called you to be involved at the parish this year. If you haven't filled your card out yet in anticipation of this weekend, then pray this prayer and grab a pen.
Stewardship Prayer
and spirit, and everything we have. You gave us
your Son who redeemed us. Through your
Holy Spirit you gave us insight into your
heavely kingdom.
Help us to learn how to give as you have given.
Help us to love our brothers and sisters as Jesus
loved them. Help us to use the Holy Spirit's
wisdom, that we may share our treasures with
those less fortunate.
This is our faith.
As we put our faith in motion, with prayer and
sacrifice, let it be a bridge to the future. May
our offering encourage others to learn and to
seek your way and to lead others to do your
work on earth.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
