Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation in the Catholic Church that completes the sacrament of baptism. It is administered by laying-on of hands and anointing with chrism accompanied by prayer. In the sacrament of Confirmation, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses to Christ in the world, both by word and deed.
