In Review: Hops and History

The St. Mary’s Young Adults Group had a great Hops and History event last week! (Apologies for the late post and all.) If you haven’t been to H&H, it’s an opportunity for young adults (ages 21-40) to learn about Church history while indulging in some tasty treats.

Thanks, Maggie, for the picture!

Typically the group meets the first and third Wednesday of every month. Last Wednesday the guacamole dip was particularly memorable, as was the lecturer’s overt historical bias concerning the Church’s reaction to heresy in southern France.

One of the perks of learning as a group is the easy discussion which may follow the video. As a group, we could voice our concerns over the use the torture and come to identify the sources of several moral dilemmas. Also – that guac dip was really, really good.

The next Hops and History is at 6 pm this Wednesday, October 3 in the library.Hope to see you at the next Hops & History event!
