Merton Scholar Coming to Tulsa

In February, the renowned student and scholar of Thomas Merton, James Finley, will be coming to Tulsa to give a conference/ retreat entitled: Transforming Life's Traumas Into healing and Spiritual Growth. If you have experienced trauma, live with someone who has experienced trauma, or work with those who have experienced trauma, this event is for you. In other words, it's open to everyone.

James Finely is a clinical psychologist in a private practice in Santa Monica, CA. Once a Trappist monk and student of Thomas Merton, today he is a Merton scholar and author of several books on the contemplative Christian life.

The conference/ retreat will be from February 3rd - 5th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tulsa

Theology Uncorked is next Thursday night! Father Jack Gleason's topic is "The Second Coming." We have appetizers and wine. Our wine speaker is Jeannie Wilson; she will share about our wine for the evening-- Tempranillo (a Spanish red) from Match Book Winery.

Stations of the Cross: Youth Volunteers Needed

Help present the Passion and Death of our Lord on Good Friday. Youth in 6th - 12th grades are needed to volunteer as actors (no speaking parts), lectors (you DO get to speak), servers, music, and as greeters and ushers.

In case you haven't heard...MaryFair 2011 is set for the weekend of September 24th and 25th. Put it on your calendar. It will be a wonderful weekend of fun.
